High throughput phenotyping in plants

WebJun 1, 2015 · There is presently a major emphasis in the plant biology community to develop better methods for high-throughput phenotyping (HTP). By definition, HTP utilizes methods of describing a plants’ phenotype that are designed to speed up the phenotyping process and maximize the number of plants that can be processed per experiment. WebHigh-throughput (HTP) plant phenotyping approaches are developing rapidly and are already helping to bridge the genotype-phenotype gap. However, technologies should be developed beyond current physico-spectral evaluations to extend our analytical capacities to the subcellular level.
